This is my first applesauce I’ve tried and I love it. I make it as a dessert or as a side dish for pork chops. It is so much better and healthier than the one you buy in stores.
Ingredients
- 5 apples
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Directions
- In a saucepan, combine apples, water, sugar, and cinnamon. Cover, and cook over medium heat for 20 minutes, or until apples are soft.
- Allow to cool, then mash with a fork or potato masher. Serve the applesauce cold.
- Note: some apples are way too sweet so you may need to decrease the sugar a little. It all depends of the type of apples and our sweet preferences.
- Enjoy!
